In 2017, Ahtna completed a logistical evaluation on Ogliuga Island while performing a Phase II RI on neighboring Tanaga Island. The objective of the logistical evaluation was to assess potential locations on Ogliuga Island for a barge landing area, a remote camp location, a drinking water source, and conditions of site access trails/roads for use during future RI and removal actions. Culturally sensitive areas on Ogliuga Island were also documented during the logistical evaluation.

Now, Ahtna Infrastructure, LLC is deployed to perform Phase III RI to address the data gaps in the RI Work Plan Addendum and collect data to assess risk to human health and the environment associated with FUDS-eligible features.
